Maggie & Matt | Durham Wedding at the Rickhouse
Maggie and Matt had a stunning wedding here in Durham, NC this past summer. The day started out at Maggie’s parents’ home. She and the bridesmaids spent the morning together, getting ready, snacking on brunch items, and riding the wave of anticipation before the ceremony.
The ceremony took place at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, where Maggie’s sister had also gotten married. It was such a special place! After the ceremony, guests made their way to The Rickhouse for cocktail hour where they were greeted by Rocky Top Catering staff with delicious hors d’oeuvres.
As a wedding planner, the Rickhouse has become one of my favorite venues in the Triangle because it allows for so much versatility. The space can change quite a bit depending on your design plan. Maggie and Matt had beautiful twinkle light installed over the dance floor. It brought so much warmth, romance, and glow to their design. They also invested in a custom chalkboard image, luscious white and pink blooms from KatieDid Florals, slate napkins, and votives adding to the ambiance.
Maggie changed into a sparkly jumpsuit and sneakers at the end of the night. After the last song, the bride, groom, and their guests went next door to Boxcar Durham for an after party. It was a night filled with joy, dancing, and love!
