Sandy & Nick | Georgia Brunch Wedding
Sandy & Nick's wedding will long be one of my favorites. It was intimate, unassuming, romantic, and so much fun. Guests gathered for an eleven o'clock am ceremony in a private garden followed by brunch, bloody marys, mimosas, and lawn games. They spent the day under April sunshine celebrating with 62 of their closest friends and family. Aline Marin captured it all so gracefully. Take a peek below to see for yourself!
They began the day at a cute airbnb with friends and family. Although Nick didn't see Sandy until the moment she walked down the aisle, they did sneak a moment to exchange gifts from opposite sides of the door.
True to their simple and effortless style, Sandy and Nick chose to be the only two standing before the officiant at the altar. Although they chose not to have a wedding party, they included loved ones by inviting them to participate in the ceremony. Sandy's brothers custom built the altar arch as well as a set of doors through which Sandy entered the ceremony. Their officiant was a close friend, and Nick's sister and cousin performed the music selections.
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed appetizers, corn hole, and a decked out "Bloody and Bubbly" bar while Nick and Sandy took photos with their families. Everyone was so excited about this Bloody Mary / mimosa bar we could scarcely keep it stocked!
After "cocktail hour," Nana G's food truck opened up and guests hopped in line to grab their choice of chicken and waffles or yummy tacos. For dessert they cut the cake (decorated with intricate sugar flowers), clinked glasses, and listened to heartfelt toasts. After that, Nick + Sandy were off to recharge for a while before getting ready for the nighttime after party. Guests snagged jam and honey jar favors on their way out - such a sweet southern touch!
This couple proves that it's a-okay to be true to your personality when it comes to planning your wedding. If your style is more casual or if you want to forgo some of the traditional wedding elements (having a wedding party, first dances, hiring a band / DJ, etc.) then a brunch time wedding might be perfect for you.
